The Gitner Family Prize 2019

For artistic achievement and pro bono contribution of outstanding professional work for a community organization, Bird Woman, my feature length screenplay, won the 2019 Gitner Family Prize.The screenplay is inspired by community initiatives headed by Project SALAM(Support and Legal Advocacy for Muslims) and The National Coalition to Protect Civil Freedoms.The resilience and solidarity that I’ve experienced as part of this process, gives me so much hope. Deeply honored for this opportunity.
