Layla goes to her mother’s beauty salon in the narrow lanes of her neighborhood in New Delhi against the approval of her older brother. At the salon she meets Nasrine who invites her to a dance party. As Layla has a time of her life at her first ever dance party, her brother catches her and shames her publicly. As she answers back and breaks her silence, she realizes she has superpowers.

DIRECTOR'S STATEMENT: My mother's beauty salon in our closely knit neighborhood in New Delhi, where I found myself spending several afternoons listening, observing, transgressing, making friends and laughing made me question why stories of joy and abandonment absent for Muslim women. This is my love letter to my neighborhood and New Delhi.
